New Impulses Creation Fund

Who we are 

New Impulses was created in 2023 with the intention of promoting dance artists in the South West and beyond by providing a chance to connect with each other and present themselves in a performance setting. It has brought unique programs of entirely new and exciting dance into the city of Bath, and has entertained well versed audiences and new comers to movement alike.

We especially champion lgbt+ visibility and issues as well as mental health and environmentalism in our work and are strong supporters of diversity in the performing arts.

New Impulses is continuously striving to provide opportunity to early career artists and to curate high quality programs in Bath and beyond. We have organised events for soloist dancers, a triple bill of new production as well as supported the creation and production of other stage and digital works.

 Why we are fundraising 

New Impulses is by early career artists for early career artists. As a result, we are working with incredibly limited funds, often even operating at a loss to make producing our events possible. Still, we are committed to creating intricate and ambitious works to present to you, which involves a high amount of working hours and necessary equipment. Additionally, we strive to provide all collaborators and artists involved in these productions with reimbursement for their time, work and any additional costs that might occur during their time with us.

Donating to our fundraiser helps us cover studio and stage equipment costs, props and costumes and travel costs. Any additional money will go to our dancers, choreographers, musicians etc. to honour the time and skill they invest into the work, and support their ability to focus on their craft as much as they might want to.
