We specialize in offering night shelters and continuous accommodation for those facing homelessness, ensuring they have a safe and secure place to stay. Our services go beyond just providing shelter. We work closely with multiple agencies to address the complex needs of individuals struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and domestic violence. By offering specialized accommodation and support, we help those affected regain control of their lives and work towards a brighter future. At New Footings Ministries, we believe that everyone has the right to food, shelter, and safety. Our holistic approach focuses on creating a supportive environment where individuals can access the resources they need to thrive. A Story of Hope and Resilience: The Impact of New Footings Ministries
Last winter, New Footings Ministries opened its doors to 180 homeless individuals in our night shelter, offering warmth, safety, and a glimmer of hope during the harshest months of the year. Among them were two people who were being victimized by criminals, trapped in a cycle of fear and exploitation. We were able to intervene, rescue them from their dire circumstances, and provide the support they needed to start rebuilding their lives.
Over the course of 12 weeks, we provided shelter, food, and water to all who came through our doors. But our mission didn’t stop there. We were able to find permanent homes for 28 individuals, giving them a chance to regain stability and begin their journey to a brighter future.
As we look ahead to this winter, our mission continues. We are gearing up to support even more people in need, but we cannot do it alone. We urgently need staff, equipment, and resources to meet the growing demand. More importantly, we need to secure accommodation that will allow us to not just shelter these individuals, but to lift them up to the next stages of their lives.
