New Climbing Wall - Plymouth

Climbing has been a passion of my partners and mine for a few years, something that the whole family enjoys doing. Originally starting of bouldering and growing through this, after a couple of years we decided to take to the ropes and give this a go. We always thought it would be pretty 'cool' to own your own climbing wall. Fast forward a couple of years and working at a climbing wall within Plymouth for almost 2 years, it has only lighted the fire of wanting to run our own wall even more.

Plymouth is hugely lacking in a decent climbing wall facility, there is a great facility for bouldering but not for ropes. We aspire to be the pinnacle of climbing destinations in the Southwest – a renowned hub where enthusiasts come together and experiences exceed expectations. Our commitment is to offer a seamless fusion of excellence and inclusivity, ensuring that every visitor feels valued and empowered from the moment they step through the doors.

With a dedication to professionalism and warmth, we strive to create an environment where climbers of all levels find their home around our diverse facilities. From our deluxe training room designed for all abilities wanting to work on their skills, to our expansive roped climbing walls and captivating bouldering walls, every corner of our facility is crafted to inspire and delight.

Furthermore, our onsite shop and café provide not just convenience, but a curated experience, where climbers can gear up and refuel amidst a backdrop of togetherness and shared passion.

We want to embrace the spectrum of climbing – from those taking their first vertical steps to seasoned professionals seeking new heights and challenges. Our mission is to be more than just a climbing wall; we aim to be the heart of a vibrant community, where every individual is celebrated, supported, and encouraged to reach the summit of their potential.

There are however a couple hurdles in our way:

Location - Finding a building that is tall enough for our plans and sketches that isn't already in use or available. We are currently searching for a place to rent but this is proving unsuccessful at this present time. The other option is to buy land and have a building purpose built - which leads to the next hurdle:

Finical - Whether we would have to rent a building or look at land and building, this all costs money. Every step of the way is going to cost considerable amounts of money, which currently we do not have and without some backing - wont be able to achieve our goals. Then there are the costs of actually creating the climbing wall and everything else that goes with it!
