We're still collecting donations

On the 18th March 2024 we'd raised £1,160 with 7 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

I've lived as a wheelchair user for most of my life due to a condition called Ostegenesis Imperfecta. It's a rare genetic disorder that is most commonly known as Brittle Bone Disease, and, with over 100 broken bones, I have known the many challenges that life has thrown at me, particularly when it comes to barriers that I've faced throughout my professional career.

I've had a huge passion for film & TV, and, after presenting and co-producing BBC's 'The Disability Paradox' a few years ago, it cemented my determination to become more active in hands on filming, however I knew I had to tackle the many obstacles that were in my way.

As a wheelchair user, you typically need four arms if you want to be a camera operator, two to push yourself and two to hold a camera, making it largely prohibitive for anyone to purse this type of work.

I knew that in order seek out technology that not only would work for me, but could be adapted for others, was going to be a challenge.

It was only through my own lived experience as a wheelchair user, coupled with my experience working within the industry that enabled me to develop Caerus, an assembly of the latest technologies on the market that would in fact give people with disabilities a competitive advantage against the most tried and tested platforms currently in use.

We're excited as we get to work on our prototype and have already received huge interest from across the industry about what we are trying to acheive.

This project is not a one-off. This is intended to have global reach and once we have our prototype built and a variety of people with disabilities tried and tested with it, we are immediately going to scale this across TV & Film studios worldwide however we need your help to get there.

If you want to be part of our story, we would love to bring you along for the ride.

My disabled-led production company 'Diverse Made Media' is taking the lead with this project, and, given we are a startup, don't have the finances available to fund this independently which is why we need to ask for help.

We are absolutely confident we can make a huge and longstanding impact to the TV & Film industry through our project and hope you share in our vision to make dreams for so many, become reality.
