This half marathon is for an amazing cause, so all of the training up and down the hills of Brockwell Park will be TOTALLY worth it. It also provides a great excuse to eat carbs and spend many hours listening to my new favourite podcast, “Who replaced Avril Lavigne?”!
The best thing about the whole adventure is that, together as a group, we’re all raising money for my friend Jos’ amazing charity, Oak London. I’ve seen it grow from a vision years ago, into a wonderful programme today that helps so many young adults in need. Here is a bit about it…..
Oak London is a retreat and mentoring programme for young adults who are facing significant challenges and setbacks. This includes prison-leavers and those at risk of offending, people living in hostels or supported accommodation, care-leavers, and those simply with very limited support systems. Oak provides a holistic and supportive environment to enable participants to develop a positive sense of self-worth, build healthy relationships, and make positive choices.
The programme has 5 stages and runs across 3 months - enrolment, retreat, follow up, community projects and mentoring!
You see, it’s so good. Do check out the website for more info and stories!

Please donate! I can’t wait to see what happens with your money.
Would also be thrilled with any sidelines support we can get, so please also come along and cheer on Sunday 19th May!
