A SEN learning space at the Farming Mother Wellbeing Therapy Farm that incorporates nature learning, a sensory play wall, climbing area, wheelchair-friendly features, and a raised growing food area can significantly benefit children's wellbeing and education. By integrating nature into the learning environment, children are exposed to the calming and therapeutic effects of the outdoors, promoting mental health and overall wellbeing. The sensory play wall and climbing area provide opportunities for hands-on exploration and physical activity, stimulating cognitive development and sensory processing. Ensuring wheelchair accessibility promotes inclusivity and equal participation for all children, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance. Additionally, the raised growing food area offers a hands-on learning experience about sustainability, nutrition, and responsibility, encouraging a connection to the natural world and promoting healthy eating habits. Overall, this holistic and inclusive learning space at the Farming Mother Wellbeing Therapy Farm creates a nurturing and enriching environment that supports children's physical, emotional, and educational growth.
removing the barriers that SEND children face in accessing spaces and facilities that are not adapted to their needs opens up the doors for all children to get active and learn in nature. with this project we will be able to create a active movement for children to be able to move explore and learn without restrictions. allowing freedom of movement allows children to not only to gain physical exercise but also allows them to help regulate themselves and express themselves.
with our space created through this project we will be able to support children of all ages for years to come
