🌞⛵🌊 Get Nathan his sea legs! 🌊⛵🌞

Aim: Nathan turns 35: help him certify as a seafaring mammal! He's wanted to train as competent boat crew for 15yrs — let's make it happen! 🫶🏽

WHAT

Hello beautiful ppl! It’s Nathan’s 35th bday in just under a month. I’d like us to try to raise enough squids to fund one of his dreams: a Competent Crew training course with the RYA!

WHY

Nathan’s wanted to be on the water (or up in mountains or deep in woods) for as long as we’ve known him. Never met a (non-boring) man so fascinated by marine infrastructure and activities 🏄 🐳 🚣🏽‍♂️ ♥️ 🛶 🦦

We’ve all had the privilege of experiencing Nathan's extreme kindness, loyalty, care and hospitality over the years. But he tends not to want to make a fuss — and puts off granting himself the things which make him the absolute happiest. Dante called people's 35th year alive the "midway point of our path”. So let’s help him get closer to what brings him such frank, deep joy: the sea, boats, existing out on the water.

THE PLAN:

There are ~20 of us. If we each give somewhere between £25 & £45, we can hit the mark.

No worries at all if you’re not in a position to give £25, or to contribute at all — times are hard, life is expensive. Anything you’re able to give — even a fiver — will go towards a marine/nautical gift.

NB: There’s a cheaper plan B if we don’t quite make the RYA goal: a sea kayaking expedition he’s wanted to do for over a decade.
