Norfolk Accident Rescue Service

RCN 261666, Dereham

NARS provides immediate care to accident victims and seriously ill patients. Team members are doctors, paramedics and first responders. They respond voluntarily to 999 calls to help save lives in Norfolk. NARS provides vehicles, clothing, equipment and training to support their work.

Since NARS was formed in 1970, our dedicated team of volunteers has saved countless lives. We attend serious road traffic collisions, domestic and industrial accidents, serious medical conditions and particularly, cardiac arrests.

Our Critical Care teams bring greater skills and advanced drugs and equipment to the scene of the most serious emergencies, in support of the East of England Ambulance Service.

We rely entirely on the goodwill of the public to maintain our life-saving service.

"If it hadn't been for Chris and Drew, there would have been two funerals instead of one."

"They saved her life... I can't say anything more... they saved her life."

"To think we almost lost her, and now... we have a granddaughter... it's beyond amazing."
