Many of you are aware I was diagnosed with a Chronic form of Leukaemia 5 years ago but kept it a secret from everyone for obvious reasons, in May this year I had to start Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy due to the deterioration in my bloods.
As a very small token of my thanks to the Unit and especially the staff I decided to volunteer some of my free time to help tidy up the outdoor garden area that is used by staff and patient whilst working or visiting the unit. I have quickly realised that the work involved to bring this area up to the standard these special staff and us patients deserve will take a lot more than I first thought, I would love to create a nice relaxing area where people can go during treatment to go to relax and take their minds off what they are going through.
My ultimate goal would be to install decking and seating with nice furniture but costs could quite quickly spiral upwards.
That's the main reason for this page, to see if me, my friends, my family and my work colleagues can help me raise some funds to achieve my goal.
Any small donations would be very much appreciated, the staff on this unit have nearly fixed me so I think its only right I try and help fix their outdoor area and with your help I have a good chance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story
