Aim: I need help paying for my puppy’s surgery to take out his tumour
I want to start by just saying thank you for even taking the time to read this and any help would be immensely appreciated.
I have a 1 years old jackawowa puppy and I recently found out he has cancer. I had noticed a small lump on his belly that wasn’t there before and took him to the vets to get checked out. He got some antibiotics and I was advised to just keep an eye on it but to bring him back in if the lump was getting bigger. After about a week of being on the antibiotics, he was still no better and the lump had grown so I took him back into the vets. They kept him in for the day to take a biopsy and after about a week they got us back in to explain that the biopsy revealed that the lump was a tumour.
The vets were absolutely amazing and explained what it all meant and what my options are. With him still being young and an otherwise healthy pup they recommended that surgery would be the best option. They were very optimistic that they would be able to remove all of cancer and he will have a smooth and quick recovery.
I’ve been quoted approximately £700 for the surgery and that doesn’t include any antibiotics or medications he may need after surgery or take into consideration the amount of money I’ve paid already for the appointments, medication and tests leading up to this.
Sorry for the essay I know it’s a lot to read but I just wanted to fully explain the situation. That dog is genuinely my world, he’s my best friend and he’s my reason to smile even on my worst days.
Please, if you are reading this and you are able to spare anything to help me get my happy healthy pup back from the bottom of my heart I will be forever grateful x
