Help Us Keep Girls in School — One Reusable Pad Kit at a Time
In many communities across Nigeria, thousands of girls face a silent barrier to their education and dignity — period poverty. Without access to safe, sustainable menstrual hygiene products, many girls are forced to miss school every month. Over time, these absences pile up, leading some to fall behind or drop out entirely.
We believe no girl should miss school because of her period.
That’s why we’re launching a campaign to raise £5,000 to provide 1,000 girls in local Nigerian communities with reusable pad kits — giving them the confidence, freedom, and dignity to stay in school and thrive.
Why This Matters
- 1 in 10 African girls miss school during their period.
- Many resort to using unsafe alternatives like rags, newspapers, or even leaves.
- This lack of access leads to shame, discomfort, and poor academic performance.
- Reusable pads are cost-effective, eco-friendly, and last up to 3 years.
By donating, you’re not just giving a pad — you’re giving opportunity, confidence, and hope.
What Your Support Will Provide
Each £5 donation will fund one complete kit, which includes:
- 4 reusable sanitary pads
- Waterproof pouch
- Bar of soap
- Educational leaflet on menstrual hygiene
- Workshop with local health educators
This means:
- £5 = 1 girl empowered
- £25 = 5 girls supported
- £50 = 10 girls back in school
- £5000 = 1000 girls with dignity and confidence
The Bigger Picture
Beyond hygiene, this project empowers girls to:
- Stay in school
- Focus on their dreams
- Learn about their bodies without shame
- Become confident leaders in their communities
We are partnering with local women-led initiatives in Nigeria to ensure the kits are culturally appropriate, sustainably produced, and delivered with care.
