My Patient - 10 minute short film

We are University of Derby film students looking to raise money to make our graduate film the best it can be.

The Synopsis

‘A man visits a specialist doctor in hopes of curing his illness, however, his condition worsens as the treatment goes on, making him start to question the doctor's real motives’

Why we want to make this film

This short indie film is about the abuse of power and the risks of blindly believing and following what someone in control has to say. Our main inspiration for this project has been dictators like Vladamir Putin, and doctors like Lucy Letby, and how they used their position negatively to benefit themselves. We believe this topic is a continuing problem in society, and we hope we can address and challenge our audiences not to take everything at face value with this film.
