Could you go on a reality dating show? What if it was as a joke?
Could you and your friends convince them that you’re cool and marketable? What if you and your friends are completely useless?
Could you be honest with yourself about how much you want the attention? What if, regardless of the answer, you can’t stop seeking it out?
We are two friends and producers who turned these questions into an original comedy play, based on a true story. In 2022, we successfully wrote, starred in, and performed My Big Fat British Scam. Now, we’re taking the play to the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe. We’ll be performing it at Greenside, George Street, from the 18th - 23rd of August.
However, we are recent graduates, and Fringe Registration fees are very expensive. We are covering as much of them as we can, but we can’t do it alone. We’re fundraising to cover the registration (£395), Public Liability Insurance (£150), and logistical costs. There is very little public arts funding available for small shows like ours, so anything you might be willing to contribute would make a big difference.
We are really grateful for any generosity, and we’ve come up with a bunch of rewards so that we have a chance to say thank you for helping us bring something so important to us to the biggest arts festival in the world.
