Music Venue Trust - Polar Bear/Welly & More

In recent times it has become increasingly more apparent that the true, important, DIY, grassroots venues in the UK are in extreme danger of closing down. These places are the foundations for new music not only across the UK, but around the world. We wouldn't have the great artists we have today without these venues, and the new titans of the music industry will not get the chance to become those titans without a place start.

This week, the news that Hull's The Polar Bear & The Welly Club, and Manchester's The Deaf Institute & Gorilla are closing for good hit us very hard. We have spent so much treasured time in these spaces playing, attending, and working gigs. They are iconic grassroots venues and legendary stages with incredible staff.

We've decided to start our own little crowdfunder that will allow us to show our support even more for these venues and hopefully somewhat prevent the closure of any more of these beautiful venues. Please give whatever you can, we really want to help these places and the people that work for them any way that we can.

As an added bonus, the three of us have decided that if this crowdfunder reaches and exceeds its target of £400 then the three of us will get Polar Bear tattoos and film the entire thing for your enjoyment.
