This is a story of a lady who has brought up 2 children on her own (both of whom I taught here in Leeds)
She has struggled with terrible neck pain and a trapped nerve, has been passed from one doctor to the next, slipping through the net and finally losing the use of one hand. Suzie is presently working with a lawyer specialising in medical negligence to get some compensation for this devastating loss.
Debbie has also been battling with the council, for 10 years, to update her kitchen, she has done the rest of her house without their help but the kitchen has never been right. She has had nearly a hundred people come to the house over those 10 years. The photographs bear testament to the quality of their work in this area. A gap that was too narrow for her new cooker which she had to swap for an inferior narrow model. Replacement doors too short and and an entirely different colour to the ones already fitted. Replacement tiles that don’t match the originals. Like so many councils we know cash is short but one of Debbie‘s neighbours has had two completely new kitchens fitted in the same amount of time.
Debbie struggles with low mood and has recently lost her Mum. Suzie and I would like to be able to help her to get new lino down on the kitchen floor and new cupboard doors on all the units. Sadly we don’t have the funds to pay for this ourselves but thought that our friends who know and trust us might be willing to help us raise the money to make this possible for Debbie.
Thank you in advance for your gifts however small.
Rich & Suzie Hamlin
