After seeing two frighteningly early cases of Covid-19 in the Spring, Mull went into lockdown. Over the coming months a network of dedicated volunteers was established to help look after the Community with shopping, deliveries, and phone support. This, coupled with a two week quarantine request, kept Mull safe with no further recorded cases of the disease. With the lifting of lockdown many volunteers have returned to work. However this crisis is far from over. The Mull Crisis Management group would like to have some funds available for any eventualities so they can react quickly to help the community, particularly the most vulnerable.
You've all shown your support and appreciation in so many ways and we would be grateful if you can continue to do so. Every contribution, no matter how small, could make a difference if things suddenly change for the worse. These funds would go toward covering the expenses of the volunteers and any necessary supporting materials.
We realise these funds may not be required but it is important to be ready. Any money that is not used will be kept in the Crisis Fund for the future or donated to local good causes.
Many thanks, MCM group
