Upgrading our car park will boost safety, access & community use - helping Midsomer Norton FC grow and support local sport for all.

Who are we?

Midsomer Norton Football Club is a proud grassroots club at the heart of our community in Somerset. We provide a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for children and young people to enjoy and develop through football.

We currently run multiple youth teams from Under-7s up to Under-16s, offering boys and girls the chance to play, train, and grow in a supportive setting. Our club is entirely volunteer-run, with passionate coaches and supportive families working together to create more than just a football team - we build confidence, teamwork, and local pride.

We’re more than a sports club - we’re a community hub that helps young people stay active, healthy, and connected.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We’re crowdfunding to raise vital funds to improve the car park at Midsomer Norton Football Club. Right now, the surface is uneven, muddy, and unsafe - especially during wet weather. This makes it difficult for players, families, and visitors to access the club, particularly those with pushchairs, wheelchairs, or limited mobility.

By levelling and surfacing the car park, we’ll create a safer, more accessible space for everyone who visits. It will also allow us to host more matches and community events, support our growing youth teams, and continue providing a welcoming environment for all.

With your support, we can improve our facilities and ensure that the club remains a key part of the community for years to come.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The funds we raise will go directly towards improving the car park at Midsomer Norton Football Club. This includes:

  • Levelling and resurfacing the existing unpaved and uneven car park
  • Installing proper drainage to prevent flooding and mud build-up
  • Creating accessible parking spaces for people with limited mobility

Every pound raised will help us create a safer, more welcoming environment for players, families, and visitors. If we exceed our target, any additional funds will go towards further ground improvements and maintaining the club’s facilities.

Community impact

Midsomer Norton Football Club is more than just a place to play football - it’s a vital part of the local community. Our facilities provide a safe, positive space for young people aged 6 to 16 to stay active, build friendships, and develop life skills like teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

The club brings together families, volunteers, and supporters from all walks of life, creating a strong sense of local pride and connection. On weekends, our grounds become a social hub where people come together not just to watch football, but to enjoy time with friends, support local talent, and feel part of something bigger.

Improving our car park will make the club more accessible for everyone - including grandparents, parents with young children, and those with mobility challenges,  helping us welcome more people to our matches, training sessions, and community events. By investing in our infrastructure, we’re making sure the club can continue to serve as a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all.

This project is about creating lasting community benefit, not just for today’s players, but for future generations too.
