Mrs Scott Races the Tide for Cartmel Priory School

I’m raising funds to help Cartmel Priory School replace their school sports courts with a multi-purpose facility for the whole community. The funds raised will go towards replacing the existing tennis courts with a multi-sports, all-weather area for use by the school and Cartmel community. As a teacher at CPS, it’s fair to say that the renovation of our courts is long overdue and will bring a much-needed improvement to facilities for our pupils.

I am asking for sponsorship for participating in the Muncaster Race the Tide event in August. The route is 10km of challenging terrain, water and mud, to run, swim and crawl through. I will be running as part of a small team of local people, who are parents, teachers and former students of CPS.

Target: the school are aiming to raise over £100K from a variety of sources, and while they have secured a significant amount of this sum, the spiralling cost of materials means there is still some way to go.

How much will your sponsorship help? Anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated, and will bring a huge benefit to our school community! Plus, to make your sponsorship go further, we are hoping to secure a match-funding sponsor for this event. Which means that for every £1 of sponsorship, we could potentially raise £2… more if you are eligible to redeem GiftAid. We hope to know in the coming weeks whether our bid for this funding has been successful.
