If we exceed our target, we will donate 10% of the total amount raised to the Trinity House charity that maintains over 60 Lighthouses around England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Morning Tide is a 10-minute short film that is set in the 1950s. It follows three sisters as they grapple with grief, responsibility, and societal expectations as they inherit their father's lighthouse. The eldest Beatrice unravels a family secret that forces her to confront a loss of identity, threatening the unity needed to prove their capability and keep the lighthouse afloat.

Our film is envisioned as a meticulously crafted and visually-driven narrative, where the power lies in the subtleties. We aim to captivate our audience through delicate and realistic conversations that resonate profoundly. The visuals emphasise the nuances of body language, facial expressions, and actions, becoming a language of their own to convey the profound depths of our characters' journeys. The interaction between the sisters is at the heart of this visual storytelling, offering an intimate glimpse into their shared struggles and individual perspectives. Through this emphasis on subtlety, we invite the audience to engage deeply with the characters, fostering a connection that transcends mere observation and immerses them in the sisters' collective journey forward.

Drawing inspiration from Greta Gerwig's "Little Women," our director, Kitty Moss, embraced a similar spirit of authenticity and nuanced storytelling in the creation of our film. Inspired by Gerwig's ability to weave intricate narratives around familial bonds, Kitty sought to capture the essence of genuine, heartfelt conversations and the complexities within relationships. Much like "Little Women," our film delves into the intricacies of sisterhood, emphasising the strength found in shared experiences and the subtleties that make each character's journey uniquely compelling. By channelling the spirit of Gerwig's masterpiece, we aim to create a film that resonates with audiences on a deep and emotional level, leaving a lasting impact much like the inspiration that fuelled its creation.

 We're turning to Crowdfunder to rally support for our ambitious film set in the captivating era of the 1950s. With our primary location being an authentic 1900s cottage, we aim to swap out modern elements for period-accurate furniture to create a convincing and immersive setting. Your contributions are crucial for acquiring unique props that are integral to our storytelling, capturing the essence of this era.

 In addition to meticulous costume and hair styling for authenticity, your support will compensate our dedicated cast and crew, ensuring their hard work doesn't go unrecognised.
