Our goal is to acquire/purchase and redistribute a selection of art & craft supplies to vulnerable individuals in the Moray area. We have put out a request locally for any creative supplies that people are not using and will collect, clean and redistribute these initially.
As the demand thus far has been so large we need to purchase additional supplies to meet the requests we have already received. To date we have been asked for 700 packs from care workers alone. We expect to be asked for many more as all partners share the project details within their network.
The packs created will vary for different ages and interests. Initially we will provide packs that contain:
Textile projects
Painting projects
Drawing projects.
Modelling projects
Woodworking projects
Children’s projects
We also plan to create packs for those who are partially sighted, have Parkinson’s or have other specific needs that require adapted tools or supplies. Packs that contain a mix of resources will also be available.
We anticipate the cost of each pack being a minimum of £8 in new supplies with this being topped up with donated supplies where possible.
As well as supplies each pack will contain information from the Moray Wellbeing Hub about positive mental health and the variety of online resources they have available. There will also be details of their online creativity classes and how individuals can join in.
