0The money collected helps support children and their families in the community who need additional help beyond that given by the NHS and its supporting bodies.
We aim to provide emotional & financial support where appropriate so some of the burdens of living with a terminal or life-threatening illness can be eased.
The help we provide may be in the form of equipment, an alternative therapy treatment to compliment traditional medicine, an iPad or tablet to help distract during treatment or even organising a special occasion for a child that would otherwise be isolated from every day events due to the restrictions of their illness.
These children often find visits to hospitals and their clinics tedious as they are without home comforts and they are confined to beds or wards. Therefore we intend to provide funds to ensure the kids get the right kind of support and provide equipment or suitable entertainment to give them a happier time during their visits.
