We have setup a Community Interest Company to help individuals and communities who struggle to purchase household essentials outright, or who are forced to pay extortionate interest rates for these items.
We provide brand new household appliances, furniture, sofas and baby items through our website and store. The items are brand new and are affordable to all. The goods can be paid back in instalments without any interest charges from our store in Wakefield.
This can allow people on benefits and low income to buy essentials, without paying more than what it cost to buy outright. We aim to assist in social inclusion.
We are working with Credit Unions to offer our goods to their members if we don't have a store in that town or city. This again can help reduce people from going to alternative loan providers. We are also looking at working with local authorities to provide items on a grant basis for those who are in desperate need of appliances, beds or sofas.
We have a website for our goods, but have just taken a lease for a shop in Wakefield and are requiring funding to purchase an alarm system, window shutters, computer systems and items for display. We are also requiring funding to provide a pot of money to support the offer of goods paid over instalments.
