My husband and I are lucky enough to have a property in Kefalonia, and we visit regularly to enjoy this beautiful island. Sadly, there is such a big problem with sick and hungry stray cats and kittens, and we have been doing our best to help. When we find distressed animals, or in some cases they find us, we do what we can to get them well again (we cannot respond to public requests for collecting sick animals, there are only two of us!). However, this has grown to be quite an expensive undertaking and we are finding that we are spending approx £4,000 of our own money each year in helping these cats who desperately need our help. 
Every single penny will go towards looking after these beautiful animals - we take nothing for ourselves - we use all funds to buy food, cover vet bills, buy cages, cat carriers etc etc
