John and I have known each other since childhood. Our paths have taken very different routes through life, yet something drew us both, quite independently to develop a deep love and respect for the Lakota Nation, and in particular the Oglala at Pine Ridge. Curiously our town has other historical connections to these same people and we would like to thank local historian Steve Peake, and also Jack Guy at Hastings Museum for their help in researching this project. Special thanks also go to Two Feathers in Brighton who have generously loaned original items on display.
John's writing and the prints of my artwork are offered in the tradition of "Give Away" which is practiced by the Lakota and other First Nation peoples, so we are asking for donations. All proceeds will go directly to the Pine Ridge community. As a guide for donations here are the costs of printing them. Please add your donation to the cost price.
