Minds Matter Fundraiser is fundraising for
The Drug of Art
Charity No. 1204321

£143

We are a group of five 19-year-old students from the University of Westminster. We aim to raise money for The Drug of Art charity for our entrepreneurial practice project. This charity is close to our hearts as it promotes creative activities as an alternative form of mental health support and well-being for young people. The charity's project includes exhibitions, competitions, podcasts, masterclasses and workshops.
According to NHS Digital (2021), 1 in 6 young people in the UK are likely to experience mental distress. Furthermore, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing (2017) states that youth interventions could have prevented a quarter of adult mental health problems. This highlights the importance of early intervention in childhood, as a quarter of mental health problems in adulthood are preventable.
They've effectively engaged with 500 young individuals through their in-person workshops. To sustain their invaluable support for children, we aim to raise £500. Each donation contributes to the future of workshops that will extend to marginalised communities, enhancing the mental well-being of youth while fostering community, promoting play, bolstering self-esteem, and nurturing resilience.
We will hold a workshop and sell bracelets at the University of Westminster to raise funds.
Anything you can contribute towards helping us achieve our target will be massively appreciated.
Thank you.
