Help us to offer bursary workshop places for those who cannot access creative workshops because of childcare costs, access, transport or other cost of living related barriers.
Amongst the love of what they/we do, creative teachers, artists and practitioners can feel overwhelmed from pressures of multiple projects on the go to the stress of finding the next job. Freelancing can be a rewarding yet a lonely path to take.
We want to create a space to reignite their creativity and find time for those to connect, move and find wellness together. To do this we will be providing a day to uplift, reflect and gain knowledge by connecting with like- minded people of the community in a calming, social environment.
Although these moments are vital, some people are not able to pay for this privilege. We are crowdfunding for 8x full ticket bursaries to enable people to join the workshops, and 5x transport or childcare bursaries, to make it easier for people to attend.
Mind & Movement in Motion workshops will involve an active, awakening yoga session, movement for our bodies, an opportunity to learn new creative skills, a wellness talk, and outside reflections for a chance to connect with not only ourselves but the people and nature around us. We will also be providing a nutritious communal meal.
It can be tough sharing every last ounce of your creativity every day and having none left for you and your family at the end of the day. We would really love to give back to all those that provide their creativity to the community as a way of appreciating the work that all these individuals do. Including those that may have reasons why it is more difficult for them to take time for themselves such as childcare or carer commitments. A bursary place on these retreats would allow them to step out of these roles and give them access to a day for themselves.
So that we can offer this opportunity to all, no matter their income, we hope to raise enough money with your help to cover the cost of wellness classes and meals for this and future retreats, allowing us to reduce the fee for all our attendees.
