Millbrook preschool has been running for over 50 years, providing the first steps in the adventure of learning for generations of local families.
We are a part of the community, taking part in events such as the Queens jubilee, Easter trails, the Kings big lunch, beach cleans and our Christmas markets is a huge event bringing together the community and supporting local artists and businesses. We have taken part in intergenerational projects, supported school work experience palcements and welcomed students and volunteers from Europe to our preschool. We have supported over the years numerous staff to complete training and apprenticeships with us, which has supported them to forge their own careers.
Sadly rising costs, underfunding and the cost of living is having a imapct on us!
Without support from fundraising we are at serious risk of closure.
This would impact the children who attend our preschool,They would miss on socialization, learning through play and early help to develop speech and communication skills. The families who rely on us for childcare that enables them to work or continue their own education, the local community with our abscence at events.
