Who are we?
Midlands Cricket Club (MCC), an amateur sports not for profit club, established in 2019 in Nottingham, named one of the fastest growing club in the UK, run by group of volunteers, we provide the local community and surroundings area with outstanding cricket coaching and development.
Midlands CC currently have 4 Saturday teams playing in South Notts Cricket League, 2 Sunday teams playing in Mansfield & District Cricket League and Newark Club Cricket Alliance League and 1 Midweek T20 team playing in South Notts Cricket league which were recently T20 Champions in 2024 and also play friendly T20 games.
We provide opportunities for all ages and abilities. We will be starting All Stars (age 5-8) and Dynamos (age 8-11) Cricket programmes in 2025 and have a plan to start women and girls set up in 2026.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Midlands Cricket Club have managed to secure their own home grounds, having taken over 2 cricket grounds from Nottingham City council from 2025 season onwards at Clifton Playing Fields, Farnborough Road which we will be maintaining and improving both grounds with the help of grants secured and raising extra funds through this platform.
We will also need to purchase storage containers to store machinery/equipments and will also need to purchase further machinery required to maintain and improve the grounds.
Any money, no matter how small, or any businesses that can give a donation in return for advertising at the ground and/or on social media would be truly amazing.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend the funds raised on:
- Signage board
- Storage for machinery/training equipment
- Machinery such as outfield mower, square mower and other various machinery to help maintain and improve the grounds
If we do raise money above targeted amount we would like to:
- Buy covers and sight screens for both grounds
- Refurbish artificial practice wickets for both grounds
- Further improvements to the changing facilities
If you would like to know more about any of these projects, or get involved then please feel free to reach out via email [email protected] or message us onfacebook or instagram @midlandscc
Midlands CC Achievments:
Community impact
Our community will greatly benefit from improved facilities and increased options. Young players can reach their potential at a local, affordable club without the need for long travel.
By delivering coaching, mentoring, and volunteering programs, we aim to increase sports participation for people of all ages and abilities, including those who may not want to play but still want to be involved.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
