Micah McLean Talks (MMT) was created on the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic to engage young men during a mental health crisis caused by lockdown restrictions. Originally known as the Men's Talk Series MMT provided young men with a platform to talk about the issues surrounding politics, faith, society and culture.
Micah later interviewed well known politicians such as Kwasi Kwarteng (former Chancellor to the Exchequer), Dame Margaret Beckett (Former Foreign Secretary), Neil Kinnock (Former Leader of the Labour Party), Steve Baker (Minister for Northern Ireland), Tim Farron (Former Leader of the Liberal Democrats) and Sir Stephen Timms (Former Chief Secretary to the Treasury).
Micah has also been privileged to interview a number of well-known figures across other industries including Shaun Wallace (ITV's The Chase), Ian King (Sky News presenter), Emile Heskey (Former Liverpool FC and England player), Carvin Winans (member of Grammy Award winning group The Winans), Tamela Mann (Grammy award winning Gospel artist), DMC ( member of RunDMC) and Sir Trevor Phillips (Sky News Presenter).
All the money raised as result of this campaign will go into producing in person interviews that will add a whole new dynamic to the Micah McLean Talks platform. The main focus of this campaign will be to raise money towards in-person interviews that will be recorded at The House of Commons in Westminster.
Micah's heart is to produce interviews with Ministers, Lords and people of influence within the political arena, while remaining faithful to the platforms faith-based ethos and desire to inspire and motivate young people and millennials by tackling the issues that matter.
