Messy Play is a free drop in parent led session for parents with children with or without additional needs.

by Aisha meah in Romford, Greater London, United Kingdom

Messy Play was established in 2022 by two parents of children with additional needs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, all children's sessions were canceled, leading to significant disruptions in their critical learning. As a result, children were frequently instructed to wash their hands and avoid dirt, which has contributed to difficulties in exploring different textures. Our sessions aim to help these children rediscover the joy of learning and playing in a fun and engaging environment.

We invite all parents and caregivers who wish to teach their children social skills, fine motor skills, and much more to join our sessions.

Our sessions are free and open to everyone in the community.

We have one rule: have fun and make a mess.

Our main goal is to raise

£1325 - this is the amount it costs us a year to run our sessions, this will cover all material costs, new activity ideas, sensory items for our children, and any other items we will need for new children who struggle to regulate ( such as fidget toys ect)
