We're still collecting donations

We would like to create a service that will promote mental health and wellbeing in the early years and beyond

Do you believe our children are the future? Do you think children's mental health and wellbeing is important? would you like to see your children develop a strong sense of self-worth and life skills that will help them to be able to thrive not just survive in life?
If the answer to those questions is yes then I need your help, because I passionately believe that children should have access to all of those things.
I am on a mission to create an inclusive, accessible, and affordable service that ensures children are provided with opportunities that allow them to develop important life skills that we all wish we had been taught when we were younger.
My name is Charlotte Lewington and I am a wellbeing coach and childcare executive trainer, mental health advocate and have worked within the health and social care industry for over 16 years. I have experienced my own trauma when I was younger but I have turned my pain into my purpose and never want to see a child suffer without having access to the services that they need
Through my initiative, I want to be able to make sure that children are physically safe - physically well, emotionally well, develop strong self-belief, maintain positive relationships and gain essential life skills, feel positively empowered.
I believe that through our academies we can offer a range of services that will help set the right foundations to ensure staff and children have access to the right support to maintain good mental health and wellbeing. As well as making sure these services are inclusive and accessible to all children and their families
There have been so many cuts to children's services in recent years which have put increasing pressure on schools and services such as the NHS to provide wide-ranging support to children and their families.
Mental health was already in crisis before the coronavirus pandemic, and now the situation is urgent.
1 in 4 people in the UK has a mental health problem (16.7 million people). It can take up to 18 weeks to see a consultant, the cost to the economy is enormous (£210 million a day) and the consequences are tragic… each day in 2018, an average of sixteen people took their own life.
How will the money be spent?
From the money, we raise we will be able to offer recruitment opportunities to allow us to train people to become childcare welfare practitioners, as well as seek out other professionals to offer their support to.
We have a book coming out in May that will provide lesson plans, resources, and workshops that focus on some of the struggles that young people face today such as bereavement, social media pressures, body image, suicide, with the money raised we will be able to access marketing support to raise awareness as well as being able to afford to get the resources printed and available to schools.
We will be able to hire a place to set up base and run the company from. We will be able to deliver the workshops and events making it accessible to disadvantaged families too
