We're still collecting donations

I met this tribe when I volunteered to treck into the jungle delivering crowd funded solar panels. They have no electricity, gas or running water. I have experience working for NGOs such as Sea Shepherd, eXXpedition, AYLA Inc. so now I'm focusing on remote tribes who I can help directly.
We are raising money for the Kilibet Mentawai Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation supporting education, cultural preservation, arts, crafts and dance in Siberut island, Mentawai.
Their current project is the build of a school to teach children about their tribes traditions and fundamental skills that will allow them to sustain their future in one of the most remote locations of our planet. The school will also have their first museum and library.
The school is for children in an extremely remote part of Siberut Island, where just acquiring the materials for the build is a challenge. Bricks have to be cast and built by hand, wood is purchased in while blocks, and cut and planed to size. Heavy logs and cement that in the western world would be moved into place my machinery must be dealt with manually which puts a huge strain on those involved.
So far the project has been self funded and although a lot of work has been completed by a dedicated team of volunteers, there is much still to do, and additional funds would provide those working on the project with essential tools, medical care and materials.
Thanks to our local volunteers, despite limited funds, the school is already starting to take shape.
So far, through self funding we have helped to deliver solar panel lights to the remotest parts of Mentawai.
Please help us to continue funding these local projects, to ensure future generations in these remote areas have the support and resources they need.
