With a lack of funding available for sufficient mental health support within schools we hope with your help we can bridge this gap.

Now that we have introduced Orbits WellBeing, we thought we would share a little background knowledge on who we are individually and what has led us here today. Allow me to introduce myself and provide some background on who I am. My name is Ebony, and I am the founder of Orbits WellBeing. As an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, I have dedicated much of my career to working within secondary schools, serving in roles such as 1-1 counsellor, behavior mentor, SEMH mentor, and behavior manager. These experiences have afforded me profound insight into student behaviors, the existing support structures within education, and the underlying factors contributing to these behaviors.

In addition to my background in counselling, I have a deep passion for dance and teaching. Prior to my career in counselling, I worked extensively in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, both on a 1-1 basis and with groups, helping individuals achieve their fitness and well-being goals.

My philosophy has always been rooted in the belief that individuals should be viewed holistically, considering their physical and mental health, as well as their past and present circumstances in both home and school life. With this in mind, I have developed an integrated approach that combines counseling, behavior interventions, and physical activities such as dance sessions and well-being boot camps. By addressing the holistic needs of individuals, I aim to empower them to take control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, ultimately guiding them towards a brighter future.

Tom is the other founder of Orbits wellbeing and a highly motivated therapist with over 3 years of experience in diverse school environments and private practice. Skilled in supporting both children and adults with a focus on trauma resolution through Brainspotting therapy. Expertise in working with neurodiverse individuals and adolescents facing challenges within sports academies (partnering with Go Again). Holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Liverpool John Moores University and is committed to ongoing professional development.

How Orbits was formed

With over seven years of combined experience working within educational settings, we have independently recognized the pressing need for comprehensive support services, such as those offered by Orbits WellBeing. We are committed to providing a holistic approach to mental health and well-being, serving as a one-stop destination for individuals seeking support. Our presence within educational settings allows us to intervene early, equipping students with the necessary skills to manage and navigate the challenges they face. By thriving during their school years, students experience a positive impact on their academic performance and attendance. With Orbits WellBeing's diverse range of support packages and service offerings, we have the capacity to reach and assist thousands of students and staff within shorter time frames, ensuring a meaningful and effective impact on their well-being.

Your contributions:

In light of extensive research indicating significant funding gaps within the education sector, your generous donations and contributions play a vital role in addressing this critical need. Your support enables numerous schools to access our tailored wellbeing support packages, meticulously designed to meet their specific needs, for a full academic year and beyond. By contributing to Orbits WellBeing, you are directly impacting the well-being and academic success of students and staff across multiple educational institutions, fostering a culture of holistic support and resilience within the school community. Your contribution ensures that schools have the resources they need to prioritize mental and physical well-being, ultimately enhancing the educational experience for all.

The cost of providing a gold well-being support package to one high school for the academic year costs £28,345.00. The more we raise the more schools we can provide with much needed therapeutic interventions, without schools having to deduct from other much needed areas within their budgets. All the donations received will go back into funding this much needed service. The vision for Orbits is to grow nationwide and offer our service to as many schools as possible for decades to come.
