Aim: Mending lines Is a Fishing project bringing people together from all different backgrounds for Mental Wellbeing

MENDING LINES FISHING PROJECT

Hi my name is Chris Parker and im the founder of a fishing project called Mending Lines.Which is a not for profit organisation were me and two others volunteer or time

In 2016 i was forced top pack up my full time job through illness through this i suffered with my Mental Health,not being a provider for my family not getting outside or mixing with other people  had a massive effect on my life.I have always loved fishing which i found helped my mental health.So in 2023 i passed the Angling Trust level 2 Fishing coaching course From that i set up Mending Lines which has now been running from April 2024 and is very successful with well over 200 youths/Adults attending the fishing coaching sessions.Mending Lines are now bringing people together from all different backgrounds and is now changing lives for the better

Our aim at Mending Lines is to get more people involved we have been very successful with working with Anti Social Behaviour youths 

Mental Health Groups

Youths with special needs 

Bringing  people together to form new friendships

Youths who may be struggling fitting in with main stream school who use Mending Lines as part of their education program learning new life skills and all about wildlife in  calming surroundings 

All this achieved through funding
