Mend the Lake District (Scafell Pike)

Living in this beautiful area I fully understand the impact of the tourist industry! It will always be a fine balance to keep its impact to a minimum! Ongoing repairs and maintenance will always be needed to keep the Lakes in tip top condition! Keep up the good work guys!

I'm glad to support this programme, having enjoyed the Lake District since 1966.

Having done 71 of the 214 wainwright fells in the last year i think i need to give a little something back. Every time my wife and i walk up a path in the lakes, i often wonder who it was that laid the stone i was about to step on. Many thanks for making it a wonderful experience.

This hill takes some serious punishment with the challenge foot fall so we need to help protect it.

I'm sure that all of us who visit the UK mountains regularly appreciate the work which has and is being done to improve footpaths and reverse the effects of erosion. This campaign deserves the support of us all.

Britain has some very beautiful countryside and the fact that we can go and enjoy it free is a wonderful luxury that needs to be protected

I love walking in the UK. We should all try to help out. Every little helps; financially or through repair support groups or even picking up the odd bit of litter on the way...

Climbed the Pike many times, most recently with my grandson. Hope he will be able to do the same in 60 years!

The mountains are a special place that deserve care and love, in return for the care and love it gives us.
