Richard Gow and Scott van Niekerk are the team behind One Revolution Initiative CIC, and we believe every child needs the confidence to save a life.
Through our Little Responders program, we teach essential first aid in a fun, hands-on way, using storytelling, role-play, and our lovable mascot, Medic Max the bear, to make learning unforgettable.
However, at the heart of Little Responders, it’s not just about teaching first aid - it’s about shaping the kind of people we want to see in the world.
We believe that when you teach a child how to stay calm in a crisis, how to help someone who’s injured, and how to act with courage and compassion - you’re not just training a young first aider, you’re nurturing a mindset by planting the seeds of empathy, responsibility, and community spirit.
We’re taking on the UK 3 Peaks Challenge — climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon — in just 48 hours to raise vital funds for our Little Responders program, part of the One Revolution Initiative CIC. And we’re not doing it alone - Medic Max, our life-saving mascot, will be tackling the peaks in full costume to bring some fun and attention to this serious cause!
All money raised will go directly into delivering free sessions to schools and youth groups, covering travel, teaching equipment, manikins, defib training tools, bleed kits, and more. With your support, we’ll empower thousands of children with the skills and confidence to step up and save lives.
Because the future we want is one where compassion is instinctive.
