Why we need your support                     

Our current Meals on Wheels vehicle is failing. We need to purchase a new heated van to enable us to continue to deliver meals to people in the community and reach more isolated and/or marginalised people living in the local area. We would also like to scale up our project, increase service, wider knowledge and inclusivity. This project has become even more urgent due to our Meals on Wheels van failing and having to deliver meals using heated and insulated boxes and bags.

The delivery of a hot nutritious meal has a number of benefits. 

About the project

🌈 Made-Well’s Okehampton café is located at Castle Ham Lodge. Our café offers a variety of refreshments, snacks, light lunches & takeaways.

🚚🥘We run meals on wheels from our venue. Let us take the pressure off cooking for yourself or a loved one. We know how much people look forward to a hot meal. That is why when we deliver to you, the food arrives hot, plated and ready to eat.

⭐️Food can be delivered fresh or frozen, hot or cold.

ℹ️ We offer a reliable & friendly service, aiming to deliver the meals whatever the weather. We understand that this is more than just food, this empowers people to live independently for longer. Our visits can provide peace of mind for families with the knowledge that their loved one has had social interaction and a healthy nutritious meal.

🙌There is no minimum or maximum age limit. We operate on a 7 days a week, 365 days a year basis. No minimum or maximum weekly meals required, eat as many times a week as needed. 

Specialist dietary requirements 

We can cater for specialist dietary requirements including Texture Modified Meals. If you have a food preference or need please let us know. We can tailor meals for specific intolerances and allergens such as gluten free or diabetic.

Meat and Veg 

All of our meat is from butchers in the Okehampton area and our fresh seasonal vegetables are either grown at Made-Well or sourced locally.

Complimentary dessert 

All of our meals on wheels come with a free dessert.
