As residents of Meadowlands we are fortunate to have the large field and woodland adjacent to Meadowlands Close, which provides visual and recreational amenity, and is frequently used by children, dog walkers and others in the local community.
The land was originally owned by Cala and designated as amenity land as an integral part of the Meadowlands development, however, over the years the ownership and the maintenance reasonability has transferred on multiple occasions, most recently in February of this year when it was auctioned to new owners.
Unfortunately, over the years the owners of the land have increasingly distanced themselves from their maintenance obligations, leaving it to the residents to step-in to keep the land from becoming overgrown and unsightly
For the past couple of years grass cutting and maintenance has been performed by Nurture Landscapes (previously Roy Cowie) and funded through generous neighbour donations.
Nurture completed the first cut of the year earlier this week at a cost ~£170. We expect to need a further 5 cuts during the growing season, therefore we are looking to raise circa £1000 to keep the field looking as neat and tidy as it currently does for the remainder of the year.
Thank you for any contribution you can make.
