Me vs You - Short Film

Aim: I want to raise awareness on domestic violence where a man is the victim, it’s a wildly underrepresented topic and I want to change that

I am a 19 year old filmmaker, director and screenwriter, wanting to break the barriers of filmmaking and tell stories from underrepresented groups of people, it’s something I feel strongly about and pushing boundaries in stories such as domestic violence with a male victim and fear of abandonment and paranoia for example.

what is the film about? 

This film is called ‘Me vs You’ and follows the story of a young 20 year old named Zach, who is trapped by his abusive girlfriend 24 year old Charlotte. From the outside looking in, their relationship is seemingly perfect, but behind closed doors it is a web of manipulation, gaslighting, physical and emotional abuse that will end fatally for Zach.

When will the film will shoot?

I am in the process of casting for my film, I have a finished script and am to shoot this August in surrounding areas of Essex and London.

what will the money be used for? 

The money will go towards:

• Locations 
• Cameras 
• Equipment 
• Lighting  
• Props
