The Michael Carrick Foundation strives to create opportunities where youngsters feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Between 1st March and 31st July, it is projected that our charity will have lost a total of £56,000 due to following the social distancing guidelines set by the Government in relation to Covid-19. However, we are still working incredibly hard to help those young people in the community who need it the most. We are working with our partners to deliver food, educational equipment and educational resources to those being home-schooled who don't have what they and their family need. We are also working with our partners to ensure that those children identified as at risk are being contacted regularly and provided with the support they need to navigate this difficult time. Not all children have stable homes with ample love, support and resources and we need your help to continue to support them at this time.
Michael Carrick, currently assistant coach at Manchester United FC, has always had a deep-rooted passion for community and football which has come from his days spent at Wallsend Boys Club. Michael understands the need to support young people and build their potential, resilience and self-esteem in order to help them to become positive figures in their community. This is more true now than ever and we hope that you can help us to continue to change the lives of young people for the better.
