My dad, Mark Archer, has been teaching the Saxophone for 35 years, to 1000+students at Blowout Sax school in Bath, through that time he has used the same Saxophone, a Selmer Paris Mark II which he sometimes has called 'Max'. His and Max's relationship has always been with big ebbs and flows - Mark has been drawn to his tenor sax (a vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI 1971 ) most of my life, he is at the point of wanting something of the same calibre as his tenor, for his alto, so that the scales of his love for each horn are at a balance for the first time ever.
The amount of time, patience and love he has given to teaching his students, and to honing his craft week in and week out, rain or shine, happy or sad is outstanding, his resilience to be a better teacher, musician, father and husband (not in that order) is inspiring, and I'd love for you to help thank this man with a donation (big or small).
