Help us Repair & Protect the Marcus Rashford Mural

Racism will never beat the love and feeling of this country for everyone here. The sad, pathetic views of the few will never outshine the voice of the many

Love wins! To quote Jo Cox... "We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us."

I don’t follow football, but I admire and grateful for what Marcus Rashford has done for this country. I’m just appalled at what has happened to the mural. The cowardice and mean-mindedness of these people makes me almost ashamed of my native city - but thankfully not as much as Rashford’s courage and magnanimity makes me proud to be a Mancunian.

Let's embrace this momentum, continue to move forwards at pace, and finally conquer racism through pro-active non-tolerance in our communities and education across the board. Together we're better.

Marcus and his team mates are beacons of hope and their behaviour makes me proud of them. Thank you for caring for the mural that celebrates him.
