Christmas Day Manchester Homeless Outreach

I think it's safe to say that 2020 has been pretty tough in some way for all of us! No one could have foreseen the effects that a global pandemic would have on our year. Yet, luckily for the vast majority of us, we still have a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Unfortunately, this is more than can be said for those less fortunate that find themselves living on the streets wondering where their next bite to eat is going to come from with barely any possessions to their name. I have seen first hand the tireless work that Homeless Aid UK do within the community, and indeed I have worked voluntarily as part of the team for nearly five years trying to help in any way I can. Homeless Aid UK provide a lot of day to day necessities such as food, water, clothing and sleeping bags on a regular basis.

However, myself and Wayne Bullough would like to try and do something to provide a little extra comfort to those that need it this coming Christmas. We are raising money to enable us to put together Special Care Packages to be distributed to the Homeless on Christmas Day, to try and show them that they are not alone, that someone is thinking of them and to hopefully give them a little something that's "theirs", a gift to open on Christmas Day!

In the packages themselves, we are looking to put anything from gloves, hats, blankets, toiletries and consumables such as biscuits, chocolates, etc.

As such, we are reaching out and requesting your support and hopefully donations, any amount would be greatly appreciated and go some way in helping us to reach our goal.
