Extra donations will be very helpful to purchase the 5 litre hand sanitizer solution that the hygiene stations use, and face masks that we anticipate will be required for the longer term maintenance of keeping our Workshop a safe Covid free environment.
Recover has a unique position, bridging the gap between front-line treatment providers and employment services. As individuals complete their treatment and lose the support of treatment providers, they are at high risk of becoming overwhelmed by issues (such as debt, relationship problems and family breakdown) which may have been obscured whilst they concentrated on treatment – leading to relapse into addiction or another cycle of mental health issues. Recover steps in with our vibrant furniture up-cycling project to provide long term training and support to ensure sustained recovery, which enables individuals to move on with their lives.
At our safe, artisan workshop we have a therapeutic but work focused environment with structure and routine, where participants learn vocational and life skills. The Team transform unwanted furniture into quality ‘one of a kind’ statement pieces which are sold to generate funds to cover the running costs of the project.
