This is a film called They Love Me. It follows an exploited young girl, named Stella, in a burlesque show. The film is set in the present day, but Stella's perverted manager has manipulated her into this world of the 1920s - where she speaks in a transatlantic accent and wears burlesque glamour. Her sister Sapphire attempts to save her from this world but Stella is so brainwashed, she can't leave. The sisters had alcoholic parents and were named after Stella Artois and Bombay Sapphire, but Stella won't accept it and thinks she was named Star in Italian. As soon as Sapphire starts to convince Stella to leave, the manager walks in, and she's lost again. This film can be interpreted as a commentary on the antifeminism and exploitation of the sex industry. Young girls are lulled into the euphoria of being able to afford a lavish lifestyle - but at the expense of their mental health.
