MAKING GLAZING MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
For the past few years I have been making ceramics for fine dining restaurants and I am really conscious that the glaze ingredients I use are mined from the earth and shipped all round the world.
By choosing to buy their ceramics from me, chefs are supporting a small local business and I want to be able to make that offering as good for the environment as possible.
ABOUT THE COURSE
I will be learning how to use waste products, such as scallop shells, coffee grounds, egg shells, left over bones to make beautiful glazes for the restaurant who supplies the waste.
The course is £1268 including accommodation and I would need to hire a car to get there and transport all my glaze materials to practice

WHAT MAKES ME TICK
I have been making for ceramics for 9 years and after having my baby 5 years ago tomorrow, I decided to not go back to my desk job. I am self taught and spent every moment that my baby napped to practice! My goal was to build a business up where I could work from home and would fit in around my daughter’s schooling. I am incredibly lucky to do a job that I love and keeps me excited everyday.
I have just put all of my money into building a studio in the garden and just need a little help to get things going to the next level.
This course takes place once a year and I wouldn’t be able to afford to attend this year without you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I would love to make you a mug!
