So we're putting on a party, and you're invited. Lucky you, eh?
The whens and the wheres are covered in various WhatsApp groups and by word of mouth, so we won't go into that here. You wouldn't be reading this if you weren't already a part of the proceedings, and that's the way we like it.
Those of you who have been to our parties know exactly what to expect, but for the uninitiated we're talking strictly old school vibes. This means the best people, a zero-knobhead environment where everything is good, your belongings are safe and your phone won't have gone walkies when you realise you left it by the hay bales.
We're talking some the best and most experienced DJs on the circuit, with a solid pedigree, who know exactly what buttons to press to fire up the party.
If that isn't enough we have ample camping space for all of us.
This is categorically not a 'pay party', but there are costs associated with staging events like these. Land hire, equipment, generators, tent, lights, cleanup, they don't come for free.
While we would love to do this for nothing, we would prefer not to be shelling out megabucks for it and we don't think you'll mind dropping a couple of quid in the kitty for the privilege of dancing in a field to excellent music with wonderful people.
Anything received above costs will go into our production bucket and used towards future events.
We've set a nominal amount as the 'target', but that's only because you have to. The 'suggested' amounts seem a bit steep too. Give what you think the party deserves, you're the best judge of that.
Nobody's getting rich off this, but we're all the richer for having each other in our lives.
