Lover Baby Bank believes that every child deserves the same start and that by sharing the items our families have outgrown we can support a circular economy in a focused and meaningful way. Our vision is that every child in our area has access to the essential things they need to develop and meet their potential. Our aims - - To help alleviate child poverty in Salisbury, Downton, Fordingbridge and surrounding villages by providing new and good quality pre-owned items to families experiencing hardship, with kindness and purpose. - To promote recycling of second-hand items in order to protect the environment and reduce unnecessary waste. What we do - We collect good quality, pre-loved items such as clothes, toys and equipment, and distribute them to families in need. All items would be cleaned and, where necessary, safety checked. We also provide new items donated directly from the public, or from food banks and distribute as needed.

We are a brand new charity, establishing in our local area, currently working out of our own homes! We desperately need funds to enable us to grow - we need our own premises/storage, and we need regular funds for purchasing the new items we must provide to our families in need.

Access to support from Lover Baby Bank is based on third-party referral by professionals such as community midwives, health visitors and family support workers.
We desperately need FUNDS to enable us to purchase the new items we need to distribute, for health and safety reasons. We must provide brand new mattresses to babies/children, to ensure a safe place to sleep. We must provide brand new bottle teats, breast pumps and dummies. We provide Mum-2-Be packs, for women due to give birth. These packs contain toiletries such as body wash, shampoo and antiperspirant, as well as maternity pads and nursing pads.
