Annually Saint Mary's Church, partners with organisations, charities, academic institutions and businesses across the city to ensure that all residents in Southampton receive a gift on Christmas. Love Christmas seeks to reach the lonely, isolated, financially struggling, homeless, single parents or carers and many more. 

In 2022, 1100 Love Christmas gift hampers were delivered, reaching over 3000 residents of Southampton. 

Following feedback from 2022, we are launching a second stream of referrals for Love Christmas hampers specifically for single parents or carers. A 2022 recipients acceptance of their hamper stuck with us and we had to do something about it, "thank you so much for these gifts because I have to buy and wrap my own presents or just go without".

There are incredible efforts already in Southampton to provide personalised gifts for children at Christmas, but nothing for single parents and carers, it's time we change this! 

During Love Christmas Week (Monday 11 to Saturday 18 December) teams will pack, wrap and deliver gifts, BUT before then we need your help to raise vital funds to make Love Christmas possible! 

Could you:

1. Become a fundraiser - gather your friends and family to support you as you walk/run/skip/dunk/etc 

2. Ask your employer to match your fundraising or donations

Along with your financial support could you:

1. Get a volunteer day to come and help pack, wrap and deliver

2. Bring family or friends along to our packing evenings 

3. Share our project on your social media channels!
