We're still collecting donations
On the 6th May 2024 we'd raised £591 with 12 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Welcome to our project page! Thanks for taking the time to have a gander at our Crowdfunder <3
Here's the situation in a nutshell:
After releasing our debut album "Heart-Shaped Jacuzzi" at the end of 2023, the LC boys are now setting their sights on Europe to perform the tunes across the continent and spread the Logan gospel.
Following months of planning and hundreds of emails to anyone and everyone across our networks we've built over the years, we've managed to put together and exciting string of shows starting at the end of April:
And just recently, 90s psychedelia legends KULA SHAKER invited us to support them at two of their European shows which adds the following gigs:
Having put this together as an unsigned band with zero backing from any major labels or booking agents, we're really quite proud of this itinerary, and the Kula Shaker gigs will be invaluable in terms of promotion for Logan's Close to new fans.
Unfortunately, with that being said, as an unsigned band we are extremely limited in our financial capacity to undertake this adventure.
When taking into account the cost of van hire, ferries, petrol, accommodation, musicians' fees, as well as accounting for the missed income we would usually accrue from daily gigging in Edinburgh, we're very likely to be hit hard financially.
It's a sad reality that touring as an unsigned band is often nonviable, never mind the extra implications following Brexit.
We did try applying for funding from Creative Scotland and Help Musicians, but were unsuccessful due to the fact that our tour has been organised totally DIY - without backing from an established tour booking agency or label - which meant they were hesitant to grant us access to public funds.
Logan's Close was formed in Dunbar, East Lothian back in 2014. It's been an amazing journey to reach where we are now, and a huge breakthrough for us was our first performance abroad in Hamburg at the Garageville Weekender Festival in 2018. From that single event, we met a number of extremely important figures: our future producer Dennis Rux who we recorded Heart-Shaped Jacuzzi with, The Trip Takers - a Sicilian band whose lead guitarist later organised our first tour of Sicily in 2019, the Shake Appeal organisers in Cologne, who we've regularly visited to perform at their events since then, as well as all of the additional networks that have been fostered through the friends of those people we met there.
By displaying our music in new cities and countries, we naturally open up new avenues to share our art and often this leads to amazing unexpected opportunities. This is why we are determined to make the trip across the water and perform the music we're so proud of to new audiences and build even stronger ties with our European friends.
That is why we are hoping that you, our supporters, without whom the album wouldn't even exist had it not been for your contributions in our 2022 Crowdfunder to raise funds to create the record, might be able to help again.
Taking this record to Europe is not only a dream of ours, but also the perfect way to springboard ourselves into completely new territories, meeting new contacts and establishing the Logan message to new fans from all kinds of backgrounds. Reaching the Kula Shaker support slots at the end of the tour will be the icing on the cake, we just need to funds to get there. We're ready to make that step and with your help, we can make it happen.
